Unfortunatly, once you have had hemorrhoids, you are at higher risk to develop them again. Most likely, the symptoms will calm down after a few days and disappear on their own. Should the hemorrhoids be more serious, you will need medication, or possibly surgical treatment, depending on the conditions that are associated with them. Over-the-counter medications are available if symptoms are not severe, or to help you to wait until you can see a doctor.
