The Ins and Outs of VelaSmooth Cellulite Therapy

2 stars Avg. rating: 2 from 2 votes.

A recent advancement in cosmetic treatment of cellulite is VelaSmooth. A process re-contours the body's surface by smoothing out cellulite. About eighty percent of women suffer from cellulite today. VelaSmooth treatment uses radio frequency waves, a laser and a massage combination. It is a proven safe and effective way of reducing cellulite while helping the body loose weight and size on the stomach, abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, and upper arms. It is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment for cellulite that will help you feel confident about your body.

VelaSmooth is the first kind of cellulite treatment that combines both bi-polar radio frequencies and light while giving the body a deep tissue massage. The treatment procedure helps to break up the fat and mobilize the water in the tissues to help re-contour the skin surface.

The radio frequency helps to increase oxygen intracellular diffusion by heating the tissue responsible for cellulite. This causes the stored energy to increase in metabolism, causing the fat to shrink in size. Infrared light helps to make the skin more elastic while at the same time heating up the subcutaneous fat. Through the whole process, the skin is protected from any damage. A mild vacuum suction and rotating electrodes help mobilize the tissue to create a smooth contour to the skin. The suction will help dilate the blood vessels which helps improve circulation. This combination helps to reduce cellulite effectively after just a few treatments.

VelaSmooth is only right for certain people. If you have one of the following conditions, you are probably not a candidate for this procedure.

  • If you have superficial metal implants such as rods, plates or pins in the area that will be undergoing treatment.
  • If you have been a hernia patient and are expecting to have, VelaSmooth performed on your abdomen.
  • If you are pregnant.

A typical VelaSmooth treatment takes about thirty minutes and is a non-invasive procedure that causes no down time. You can return to work or other activities immediately after treatment is complete.

There is no pain involved with VelaSmooth treatment; it feels like a warm, massaging sensation. You may feel a mild pinching sensation at times, but it is nothing that causes pain.

After treatment, the area may appear flushed or pink for a temporary period because of the heat involved in the process. Although uncommon, bruising can occur in some patients and this will usually disappear in one to two weeks.

The VelaSmooth treatment process is high effective in reducing and eliminating cellulite. Most of the time ten to twelve sessions are required and must be conducted in a five to six week period. This means you will have to go in for two treatments a week. After you first initial treatment sessions you will need to go back periodically for maintenance treatments. Keeping a healthy diet and exercise plan is an important part of keeping your new body contour that results from your VelaSmooth treatment. For those that quality VelaSmooth is a great option for getting rid of cellulite.
