Cellulite in Western Countries

Not Rated stars Avg. rating: Not Rated from 0 votes.

The term cellulite refers to lumpy, cottage cheese like areas of fat on the buttocks, hips thighs and other parts of the body. If you are a woman, you are more likely to develop cellulite than men are. In fact, more that 85% of the women in western countries develop cellulite once they hit their teens.

We all know western countries are more developed than the eastern ones. This also means that they are richer, and that more women from the western countries work. Because we live in a fast-paced modern society, we have less and less time to take care of ourselves. Unfortunately, this takes a toll on our lifestyle, and more people prefer to eat junk food, or prepared products. Junk food and ready-made food that women tend to buy from the super markets nowadays contain food additives, colorants and preservatives. All those chemical substances contained in this food will lead to cellulite development.

Studies have shown that, in eastern countries, and especially in the ex-communist countries, junk food and prepared food are not so common in the super markets. For this reason, people in eastern countries tend to eat more naturally, and therefore have a lower chance of developing cellulite on their body. It is a fact that fewer women from these countries develop cellulite than those who live in American or European countries and eat more refined foods.

America is known for the stress levels and the agitated life style, and of course, fast food. Due to all these factors, American women and some men are more likely to suffer with cellulite.

The problem that comes with cellulite is the knowledge of how to get rid of it. The good news is that there are enough treatment options available for you to choose from. The most common treatments are topical treatments that use creams and lotions.

Creams, lotions, gels and pills can be very useful to those people with cellulite. Creams are more popular and more efficient, because they can be applied directly on the affected areas, penetrating the skin and releasing their ingredients into the troubled areas.

Another method is daily exercises. Combined with a proper diet, exercises can help in restoring the beautiful hips, thighs and buttocks you may once have had. Massages and spa sessions are also recommended as they help to break down the fatty deposits.

If you have some money to spend and if you want quick results, laser and ultrasound cellulite treatments are a good option. Liposuction and body wrapping can also be reliable solutions for your cellulite.

Having a healthier life style is definitely one of the best solutions. This means exercises, eating organic food, avoiding alcohol, cigarettes and drugs and reducing your stress sources.

Therefore, living in a western country, does mean you have a high chance of developing cellulite. However, there is hope, all you have to do is to choose one of the many cellulite treatments and then stick with it.
