Alternative Therapies for Getting Rid of Cellulite

4.5 stars Avg. rating: 4.5 from 11 votes.

In considering ways to solve your cellulite problem, you may think that surgery, such as liposuction, would be a good approach. It is important to know that cosmetic surgery is not always the safest or most effective way to deal with cellulite. Even after liposuction, there is a chance that the cellulite will remain. Instead of considering surgery, you may want to consider some of the alternative treatments that are available to treat your cellulite. There are many alternative treatments available, and while it is unlikely they will cure your cellulite forever, they can help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. In addition, these alternatives are much safer than cosmetic surgery.

Mesotherapy & Cellulite

Mesotherapy is an alternative cellulite treatment that is currently very popular in Europe. This treatment was developed in 1952 by Dr. Pistor, a French doctor. In mesotherapy treatment, the patient receives injections made of natural vitamins, minerals and amino acids into and around the areas with cellulite. Mesotherapy sessions are repeated once per week for several months, and patients typically experience great results. While the treatments can be expensive, and experts difficult to locate, mesotherapy can provide a successful means of treating cellulite.

Wraps & Cellulite

Body wraps are a popular treatment many women like to use. While experts remain unconvinced about body wraps ability to aid in improving the appearance of cellulite, receiving a body wrap can be relaxing, and may be worth experiencing regardless of cellulite results. The body wrap is supposed to push toxins out of your body and leave you with less water weight and better contouring. The wrap can also help stimulate lymphatic flow in the skin cells, which can help reduce the look of your cellulite.

Exercise & Cellulite

One of the most over-looked therapies for cellulite is exercise. Exercise is a great way to reduce the appearance of cellulite, and since it is so good for your body, you should already be exercising regularly. It appears that walking and bicycling are two of the most beneficial exercises when it comes to cellulite. Both target the legs and buttocks, two areas where cellulite is most common. Adding a daily walk or bike ride into your routine will likely mean changes in the appearance of your cellulite.

Instead of considering cosmetic surgery, talk with your doctor about the potential for using alternative therapies to reduce the appearance of your cellulite. Your doctor may also have other therapies to recommend. Cellulite can be treated effectively without surgery.
