Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's disease is a heart-breaking illness. It begins without any symptoms, but soon short-term memory loss begins. That memory loss continues to progress as the disease advances, and the afflicted may experience mood changes, and need help to do simple activites. In later stages of the disease, they may lose the ability to eat and talk.

As the baby boomer population ages, Alzheimer's will become more common. There is currently no cure, and the cause remains unknown.
